This past week, President Donald Trump embarked on the first NATO summit of his presidency. As expected, it did not go well, as Stephen Colbert pointed out in his opening monologue. The week's news was chock full of strange moments—bone-crushing competitive handshakes, and at least one bizarre and unprovoked shove—proving yet again that Trump is a misbehaving problem child and bully.

First, there was the awkward handshake with President Emmanuel Macron of France, aka the "guy who wants to try it with the lights on tonight." It was the first of many strained moments between the two leaders, with Macron desperately trying to avoid Trump's trademarked grip-and-pull shake.

Next, there was the shove heard 'round the world, when Trump shoved the president of Montenegro aside while leaders were lining up for a photo op. "Out of my way... Alpha male coming through," Colbert joked, adding, "I don't think that kind of shoving is appropriate for an international summit. That's the kind of shoving that belongs in the buffet line at Mar-a-Lago."

And then, there was Trump's favorite line in his speech to the summit: accusing NATO member nations of owing money for defense, even though everyone but Trump knows that is not how NATO funding works.

Those were just the highlights. Every time news of Trump's latest flub broke, it was a cruel reminder that America elected its lecherous drunk uncle to represent us on the international stage.
