For some physicists, the existence of parallel universes is an irrefutable truth. The black vastness of space playing host to infinite worlds just like ours where all possibilities are realized. In one, your girlfriend never dumped you (plenty more fish in the sea); and in another Jeff Goldblum is the voice of Siri—something that very nearly happened right here on planet earth.

Discussing just how close he came to becoming the voice of your mobile life, Goldblum, in a recent interview on the Today Show in Australia, said, "Steve Jobs called me up a few decades ago to be the voice of Apple. That was early on, and I did not know it was Steve Jobs."

Sadly, the partnership never materialized, and instead Susan Bennett is the voice you now associate with Apple's virtual assistant.

Thanks for your good work, Susan, but you're no Goldblum.

Oh well, at least there's one universe out there where he accepted the offer. And probably one where dinosaurs never died out, which is pretty cool.
